Terms of Use

A small tool needs clear limits.

Please read these terms before using a generated task. The safety acknowledgement in the tool records acceptance in your browser.

Effective date: August 31, 2026.

Freedom From Clutter is operated by Ciarán Paul Roche in Pennsylvania, United States. Contact: ciaranpaulroche@gmail.com.

What the service is

Freedom From Clutter is a free, general-information tool that generates small, bounded prompts for ordinary, low-risk tidying. It is not medical or mental-health treatment, diagnosis, case management, housing assistance, legal advice, emergency response, professional organizing, remediation, waste handling, or professional cleaning advice.

Your safety and judgment control

You remain responsible for deciding whether a task is appropriate and safe for you, the space, other people, pets, and property. Stop immediately for sharp objects, needles, weapons, medication, chemicals, mold, asbestos, pests, sewage or bodily fluids, unstable piles, blocked exits, fire or electrical hazards, structural concerns, violence, illegal materials, or objects that are too heavy.

  • Do not climb, overreach, strain, lift beyond your ability, or mix cleaning chemicals.
  • Follow product labels, building rules, lease requirements, local laws, and instructions from qualified professionals.
  • Call emergency services when immediate danger exists. Use appropriate health, housing, poison-control, or specialist help when the situation exceeds ordinary tidying.

No professional relationship

Using the site, saving a task, following a link, or sending an unsolicited message does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, housing-adviser, contractor, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.

No guarantee of outcomes

Tasks are generated from limited choices and cannot inspect your home, health, abilities, belongings, legal obligations, or hazards. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no warranty is made that a prompt is complete, suitable, error-free, continuously available, or likely to produce a particular result.

External resources

Links to third-party organizations are provided for convenience and do not constitute endorsement or a guarantee that a provider is suitable, available, licensed, affordable, or current. Verify important information directly with the organization or an appropriate authority.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, use it to direct unsafe or unlawful activity, or reproduce the site's original branding and content in a misleading way.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from reliance on a generated prompt, local data loss, external resources, or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.

Changes and availability

The service may be corrected, changed, suspended, or discontinued. Material changes to these terms will receive a new effective date. Continued use after a posted change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms where legally permitted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another jurisdiction's non-waivable consumer law applies. Any dispute that may lawfully be subject to a forum clause will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Pennsylvania.
