Your choices and quiet record
The task chooser runs in your browser. Your current task, saved-for-later jobs, and quiet record are stored in that browser's local storage so the tool can remember them on that device. They are not intentionally sent to Freedom From Clutter or stored in an application database.
You can clear the quiet record from inside the tool. You can also remove all locally stored information through your browser's site-data settings. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, changing browsers, or changing devices may remove or separate the record.
What you should not enter
The tool does not ask for names, addresses, photographs, medical details, diagnoses, housing documents, financial information, passwords, or contact information. Do not put sensitive information into a task description or send it by unsolicited email.
Ordinary hosting and security data
When the site is hosted, the hosting and security infrastructure may process ordinary connection information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, device or browser information, requested pages, timestamps, error data, and security logs. This is different from an application database of your task answers.
Analytics
Optional Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics.” It may receive page visits, browser or device information, referral source, approximate location and broad tool-use events such as generating, starting, saving or completing a task. Those events may include a selected room or focus category and a rounded duration, but they do not include a name, address, task title, note or other free text. Advertising and personalization signals remain disabled.
You can decline without losing any site function and can review or change the choice using the Privacy choices button. The choice is stored in this browser.
Advertising, sale of information, and accounts
Freedom From Clutter has no behavioral advertising, no data broker, no user account, and no sale of personal information. External resource websites have their own privacy practices.
Children
The site is a general organizing tool for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
